Last Rites for Mrs. Damrow at Torrington

Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Damrow, who died of a heart attack March 16, were held March 19 at the United Presbyterian Church of Torrington with the Rev. Howard Osborne officiating and Interment was in the Valley View Cemetery.

She was born Virginia Katherine Sturman, daughter of Jack and Mary Sturman at the family home near Lusk on October 4, 1896. She spent her early life on the ranch and received her formal education at Lusk. She attended the University of Wyoming where she majored in education and became an elementary school teacher. She spent thirteen years teaching in the public schools of eastern Wyoming.

She was married to Ollie Damrow of the Moore Springs Community August 31, 1924. They established their home on a cattle ranch there.

They were the parents of one daughter, Maxine. Kate, as she was known by her friends and relatives, was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ft. Laramie.

Survivors, besides her husband, Ollie and daughter, Mrs. Raymond Munyon of Denver are her two granddaughters Lisa and Renee Munyon, two sisters, Emma Sturman of Lusk and Orian Connors of Bakersfield, Calif., three brothers Ben and John of Lusk and Kenneth of Cheyenne and one foster brother, Frank Burnaugh of Bakersfield.

He father, mother and two sisters, Marjorie Burnaugh and Ruth Sturman preceded her in death.
