Noel C. Hargreaves

Former Lusk resident Noel C. Hargreaves died last Thursday Nov. 12, at the Goshen County Hospital in Torrington. Memorial service was held Nov. 15 at Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Kelley officiating.

Noel Hargreaves was born February 16, 1901, in Goshen County, the son of Charles and Minnie Hargreaves. He attended school at the home ranch south of Lusk and in Guernsey. Following school he continued to live on the ranch and after the death of his father, he and his brother Lloyd continued to operate the ranch. In 1959 he moved to a trailer home on Nigger Baby Creek. Mr. Hargreaves moved to Guernsey to live with his sister Nellie following the death of his brother in July, 1956.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his sister, Nellie Haynes of Guernsey, one nephew and three nieces.

Edna DeCastro was organist during the memorial service. "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden" were sung by Joy Kaltenheuser. Active bearers were Carl Brown, Everett Brown, Marvin Milegate, Marvin Hammer, Richard Barnette and Louie Hammer.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Guernsey Rescue Unit.
