David Wayne Hawley

David Wayne Hawley, age 41, of Manville, passed away on Monday, Aug. 21 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk, with Reverend Mark Lohr officiating. Burial was in Dellview Cemetery in Manville.

David was born June 11, 1965, in Lawrenceville, Ill., to Howard and Martha Wolfe Hawley. He was raised in Lance Creek and attended schools in Lance Creek and Lusk. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for eight years. He was a member of the Honor Guard and served in Saudi Arabia in Operation Desert Storm.

After returning to the United States, he made his home in Tucson, Ariz. and lived there most of his life, working in construction. David had a great passion for life. He loved God, his family, building things, football, painting, the outdoors, and fishing.

He is survived by his four children, Erin, Jacob, Steven, and Jonathan; his parents of Manville; brothers, Daniel Hawley of San Antonio, TX., and Steven Hawley and his wife Kathy of Rawlins; sisters, Cathy Meier and her husband Dennis of Lusk and Terry Serres and her husband Andy of Cody; the love of his life, Jennifer Hawley, of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Alan Hawley, and his grandparents.
