Otto Koeberlin Dies Here Sun.

Otto Koeberlin, 90, a Lusk resident since 1916, died Sunday in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were being held at The Herald's presstime Wednesday afternoon from the Peet Chapel.

Mr. Koeberlin had been in ill health for many years. In fact ill health was his reason for retirement as Niobrara Clerk of Court on October 1, 1951.

Mr. Koeberlin was born in Woolwich, Ontario, Canada October 20, 1874. In 1885 the Koeberlin family came to America and settled in Madison, Nebr. In 1916 Mr. Koeberlin came to Lusk and in 1917 opened a tailor shop and haberdashery.

In 1926 Mary Lawton and Mr. Koeberlin were married in the house on the corner of Fourth and Main in which they have resided for many years. At the time of the wedding ceremony the house was a Baptist parsonage. He is survived by his widow.

Mr. Koeberlin was long a public servant taking the position as police judge in 1927 and from 1931 to 1938 he was justice of the peace. He was first elected clerk of court in 1938 and served continuously until his resignation in 1951.

During his years as clerk attorneys and judges were high in their praise of his work.

The Rev. Theodore Foster of St. George's Episcopal Church is presiding at the funeral. Casket bearers are L. J. Bass, Fred Hanson, Walter Tyrrel, V. W. Wingren, Otto H. Klemke, Menno Kaan. Harry Lyon, Dr. Richard Collins, Mrs. Robert Bramlet and Mrs. James Berry sang "Son of My Soul" and "My Faith." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
