Funeral Services for Mrs. Mudra Are Held Friday

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 30 for Mrs. James Mudra, 79, at the Peet Chapel in Lusk. Mrs. Mudra died January 27 at her home in Lusk. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church of Lusk officiated.

Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Dean Glandt and Mrs. Richard Korns as they sang "In The Garden" and "Rock of Ages."

Casket bearers were Richard Lenz, Lee James, Everett Kilmer, James Potter, Al Taylor and Harry Brown.

Honorary bearers were Frank Taylor, Roy Turnbull, Fred Hansen, Joe McConaughey, Walter Zerbst, Lue Osborn and C. E. Marvin.

Mary Evelyena Mudra was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rickman and was born December 11, 1890 at Springview, Keyapaha County Nebraska. She grew into womanhood and attended schools at Riverview, Neb. She married Syres Allen in 1908. In 1910 she and her son, Everett moved to Wyoming and homesteaded seven miles northwest of Van Tassell.

July 15, 1916 she married James Mudra in Harrison, Neb. After their marriage they made their home on Mr. Mudra's homestead northeast of Lusk. They moved to their present home in Lusk in 1966.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lusk.

Her parents, two brothers and one sister died previously.

Survivors include her widower James of the family home; two sons Everett Allen of Riverton, Norris Mudra of Casper; one daughter Mrs. Hazel Stallings of Anaconda, Mont.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
