Floyd J. Nagel

Former Lusk resident Floyd J. Nagel died a week ago Tuesday at a hospital in Greeley, Colo.

Mr. Nagel, 64, worked as a mechanic here from about 1950 to 1970.

A native of Windsor, Colo., he was the son of Jacob and Sophie Nagel. He was reared in the Greeley-Windsor area.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Nagel entered the Army at Ft. Collins, Colo., in 1940 and was discharged at Ft. Logan, Colo., in 1945.

He was a member of the Wieten-Dupes American Legion post in Lusk.

Mr. Nagel married Ethel Bates in 1943 at Yuma, Ariz., and she died in 1946. In 1949, he married Helen Long at Windsor.

They moved to Riverton and then to Lusk, where Mr. Nagel worked at the Chevron Station and the North Side and South Side truck stops.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, also of Greeley; a daughter, Nancy Louise Smith of Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Eugene L. of Denver and Robert L. of Downey, Calif.; his father, Jacob, and a brother, Marvin E., both of St. Bethlehem, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

A service was held last Friday at Adamson Memorial Chapel in Greeley. Burial followed at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

The family prefers donations to the American Lung Association in care of the Adamson chapel, 827 Fifth St., Greeley, Colo., 80631.
