Graveside services for Catherine Snyder Nuttall, 86, were held Saturday September 25, 1993, at the Douglas Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Moore of the First United Methodist Church and the Rev. Delbert Dick of the American Missionary Fellowship officiating. Mrs. Nuttall died Thursday September 23, 1993, at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas.

She was born May 31, 1907, the child of Charles T. and Elsie Mae (Seaney) Snyder, on her Grandfather Seaney's farm near Arnold, Neb. In the spring of 1914 her parents moved to Orin, Wyo. and later in the summer moved to Douglas.

She was educated in Douglas and after graduating from high school in 1924 she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received her B. A. degree in Education in 1929. She taught school three years in Lost Springs and one year in Torrington.

Just prior to her marriage to William Osborn Nuttall in Douglas Aug. 14, 1932, she filed on a homestead 17 miles north of Lost Springs. Here she and her husband were involved in ranching for 55 years. They retired to Douglas in 1986 where they spent their years.

Mrs. Nuttall was a dedicated homemaker and was the first president of Keeline 5280 Extension Club in 1941. She led the Lost Springs Bible Study Class for 37 years under the American Missionary Fellowship. She was a charter member of Jobs Daughters and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Douglas since 1921, a lifetime member of the Wyoming Pioneer Association, the Historical Society in Lusk, and member of the Lusk Pioneer Association.

She and her husband played in the first Rawhide Pageant for 20 years. They were enthusiastic square dancers and belonged to the Lance Creek Tangle Foot Club for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband, William O. Nuttall, Douglas; and numerous cousins, and was preceded in death by her parents.

Inurnment followed the graveside service. Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
