Donald E. Schmidt
Services for Donald E. Schmidt, 57, were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Field, Chaplain of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center officiating. Burial will be held Friday, June 21, 1996 at 3 p.m. at the Lusk Cemetery. Mr. Schmidt died on June 15, 1996 in Amarillo, Tex.
Mr. Schmidt was born in Pinkneyville, IL. He married Wanda Brewer on May 28, 1960 in Amarillo. He was an Amarillo resident for the past 40 years. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1960 to 1963. He worked as a construction sub-contractor. He was a member of the American Legion and of the Masonic Lodge, Palo Duro #1239 and was a past member of Scottish Rites. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of the family home; two sons, Joseph of Amarillo, Tex. and Donald of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Carmen Nichols of Amarillo, Tex. and Lynette Apadaca of Riverton; and a brother, James of Manassas, Va.
Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo, Tex. and Bader Funeral Home of Lusk are in charge of arrangements.
