Ada Smith

Ada May Smith died Monday in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital. She was born June 16, 1916, the daughter of John and Marie Roby. She attended Lusk schools and after marrying Floyd Bridges moved to Kansas. She later married Forest Smith in Bakersfield, Calif. Mrs. Smith worked at various jobs later working in a trading post southeast of Farmington, N. M. She had been in ill health for many years and in November 1974 returned to Lusk to make her home.

Survivors are her father, John H. Roby, Tulsa, Okla., a sister Iva Butler and family and an aunt Helen Robinson and family.

Funeral service was being held at the Peet Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 this Wednesday with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Mrs. Edna DeCastro was to accompany Mrs. Marilyn Cockerham as she sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Beyond the Sunset." Casket bearers were to be Allan Butler, John Butler, David Butler, Gene McCabe, Paul Heany and Charles Scott, with burial to be in the Lusk Cemetery.
