Marguerite E. Skillings
Services were conducted Thursday, Sept. 26, 1991, for Marguerite E. Skillings, a retired school teacher. She died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991 at the Fremont Manor in Riverton, Wyo. She would have been 85 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Marguerite E. Hoyt was born Sept. 27, 1906, in Stuart, Neb., the daughter of Margaret and James E. Hoyt.
She married Fenton Skillings on Jan. 28, 1928, in Douglas, Wyo. She was a college graduate who taught school for 30 years in Niobrara County. She retired in 1971 and moved to Riverton.
She is survived by two sons; Irven A. Skillings of Edmond, Okla., and Fenton J. Skillings of Kinnear; two grandchildren, Richard Skillings of Laramie and Deborah Dryer of Camp Verde, Ariz. and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
Pastor Gary Burdick of Lance Creek conducted graveside services Friday, Sept. 27, at the Lusk Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Skillings, Andy Nelson, Tod Nelson, Rod Nelson, Sven Johnson and Artie Johnson.
