Mrs. Robert Taylor Dies Friday; Lusk Resident Since '24

Mrs. Robert B. Taylor, 67, of Lusk, died at her home Friday evening from cancer. She had been in failing health for the past six years. Funeral services were held Tuesday, the deceased's birthday, at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel. Rev. Jacob Nein officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

A male quartet composed of Dr. Richard Collins, Dr. E. L. Lindahl, Richard Flood and Harry Lyon sang "Beautiful Isle." Richard Flood sang, "The End of a Perfect Day". Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist.

Pallbearers were C. E. Marvin, E. M. Criss, R. C. Bafford, J. Wesley Wolfe, Hans Gautschi and Harry Fernau, Sr. Honorary pallbearers were James B. Griffith, Sr., Ralph Olinger, C. C. Browning, Norris Hartwell, Scotty Jack, Hugo Payne, George Gibson and C. W. Erwin.

Agnes Marie Carlson, daughter of Carl John and Anna Karina (Bjorghum) Carlson was born November 18, 1890 at Clearwater, Nebr.

Her early life was spent at Clearwater and Elgin, Nebr. Following her high school education she attended and was graduated from the University School of Music at Lincoln, Nebr., where she later became an instructor in music.

She married Robert B. Taylor June 24, 1924 in Elgin, Nebr. They moved to Lusk following their wedding and have made their home here since that time. They were the parents of four daughters.

Musically gifted, Mrs. Taylor has given unstintingly of her talent and time. For many years she served as organist and choir director of the First Congregational Church, being a member and serving as an instructor. She was a member of the Congregational Circle and until her health failed her, she assisted this group with its various activities.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of Chapter I, of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and past president; a member and past worthy matron of Niobrara Chapter No. 26, Order of Eastern Star; past president of the Past Matrons club; past guardian of Bethel No. 10, International Order of Job's Daughters and past grand guardian of the State of Wyoming, Order of Job's Daughters, and a past supreme officer of this organization.

Mrs. Taylor attended the November 10 meeting of Job's Daughters at which time the grand guardian of Wyoming made her official visit. Mrs. Taylor, being a past grand guardian of Wyoming, spoke briefly to the Job's.

Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Taylor of Lusk; four daughters, Patricia Zewer, Grants Pass, Ore.; Neoma Taylor, Lusk; Barbara Sorenson, Worland; and Ruth Hibbard, Sundance. Eight grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Held of Lusk, Mrs. Emma Gard, Lander and Mrs. Selma Leach, San Diego, Calif., also survive.

Her parents, one brother, Conrad Carlson of California, and one grandson, David Lee Sorenson previously died.
