Floyd Vanderbilt Vermuele

Floyd Vanderbilt Vermuele was born May 8, 1917, a son of Charles and Josephine Rutherford Vermuele, at Armstrong, Iowa, and passed away at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, October 3rd, 1954 in St. Alexis hospital at Bismarck, No. Dak. He had attained the age of 37 years, four months, and 25 days. Cause of his demise was given as bacterial endocarditis, with which he had suffered for the past two years.

When a small child, he moved with his parents, from Nebraska to Lusk, Wyo. where he attended elementary and high school. Since his discharge from World War II, he has been employed by Economy Homes, Incorporated and was serving as its vice president and manager of Bismarck. While in the employ of Economy Homes, Inc., he had made his home in various cities of northern Wyoming and had moved to Bismarck three years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars of that city.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 o'clock, Wednesday, October 6th, in the First Baptist Church of Bismarck, with Rev. Roy E. Wiegand officiating. Immediately following the services, the remains were brought overland to Lusk, Wyo. where under arrangements of the Peet Mortuary graveside services were held. Rev. Otha Holcomb, of the First Baptist Church of Lusk offered the final prayers as the remains were laid to rest in the Vermuele family plot in the Lusk Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, the former Thetus Martin, whom he married in 1939, in Texas, of Bismarck, No. Dak. and one brother, Lloyd A. Vermuele of Fort Laramie, Wyoming.

Graveside Services For Floyd Vermeule Held Here Thursday

Floyd Vermule, a prominent contractor of Bismark, N.D., and well-known in Lusk, died early this week at Bismark. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bismark and the body is being brought to Lusk. The casket will be in state at the Peet Mortuary Thursday morning until 9:30. Graveside services will be held in the Lusk cemetery at 10 a.m. with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb of the First Baptist Church of Lusk officiating.

Surviving are his wife and one brother, Lloyd Vermule of Lusk.
