William B. Street, 66, of Lusk, died Friday morning in the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery . Final Masonic and military rites were accorded the deceased.

Mr. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Does Jesus Care." Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist.

Pallbearers were H. M. Fernau, M. L. Cork, Roy Turnbull, Grady Criss, H. R. Amend and J. P. Costlow.

William Banton Street was born February 18, 1893 in Clark, Mo. to James Brown and Eliza Roe Green Street. He received his education in the public schools of Sturgeon, Mo. and Central College, Fayette, Mo.

He served in the United States Cavalry during World War I being stationed at Camp Stanley, Texas. He came to Lusk in 1919 and became associated with the Lusk Lumber Company as manager. This company was later purchased by the Foster Lumber Company and he continued on in the capacity of manager serving these two companies for 31 years. He and Regina Grace Quinn were married March 19, 1921 at Douglas. They were the parents of two children, Irmalee Sedar and William A.

Before his failing health caused him to retire, he was active in the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and Eastern Star in Lusk. He was a member of The Sturgeon Methodist Church in Mo. He was employed by the Wyoming Department of Revenue at the Lusk Check Station for three years prior to his retirement in March, 1958.

He is survived by his wife, Regina, two children, Mrs. Sedar of Denver and William A. of Jeffrey City, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Berry, Chillocothe, Mo. and Mrs. Mary Palmer , Centralia, Mo.; two brothers Eugene of Clark, Mo. and J. Alvin of Houston, Texas.. Five grandchildren, Robert, Regina, Nancy and Becky Sedar of Denver and James Street of Jeffrey City also survive.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Averett of Lovell, Mr. and Mrs. William Speer of Torrington and Walter Farrell of Denver were among ou-of-town people here for the service.
