Graveside services for Venetta E. Carty, age 84, were held Wednesday, August 10, 1988 in the Lusk Cemetery. Mrs. Carty died Saturday, August 6 in Casper.
She was born April 24, 1904 at Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of William and Cora Houts. The family moved to Omaha where she attended school. As a young woman, she spent a great deal of time traveling before settling in California. She married Ralph Carty in 1960. Mrs. Carty was a member of the Local Order of the Moose for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include three nieces, Virginia Kaper, Florence Haberman and Hazel Cundal; one nephew, Donald Hinrichsen and many other relatives and friends.
