Fred R. Brenner Dies in Hospital Wednesday

Fred R. Brenner, 80, of Lusk, died Wednesday at the Spencer Hospital from an infected gall bladder. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, and two sons, Lyman and Darrell.

Funeral Services For Fred Brenner Held Here Aug. 29

Funeral services were held by Rev. Otha B. Holcomb from the Peet Chapel August 29 for Fred R. Brenner, 80, who died August 27. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Pall beareres were Reuben Boatright, Jack Marchant, Horace Graham, Oliver Butler, Fred Ward, and Murray Butler. Honorary pall bearers were Frank Johnston, Walt Swope, Lloyd Ray, and Pat Marchant.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist. Mrs. Maude Bonner and Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages."

Fred Brenner was born September 10, 1877, at Marengo, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Hattie Brenner. January 4, 1907 he married Hattie Thompson at Eldora, Iowa. They were the parents of five children. In 1927 the family moved to Wyoming and homesteaded 50 miles north of Lusk. In 1942 the Brenners moved to Lusk, where he resided until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children.

He is survived by his wife, Hattie, of Lusk; two sons, Lyman of Salinas, Calif., and Darrall of Casper; and one grandson of Casper; two sisters, Ida Bell of Marengo, Iowa and Ory Brown of Atwood, Kansas, besides several nieces and nephews.
