Raymond V. Riley

Services were held for Raymond V. Riley at the Methodist Memorial Church, Harrison, Neb. on September 28, with Rev. Jeff Thurman officiating. Music was by Dorothy Todd, organist and Bill Mann, sang Beyond The Sunset and In The Garden.

Pallbearers were Dwanne Grote, Robert York, Charles Mumby, Kenneth Branum, Tom Broderick, John Skavdahl and John Bixler.

Interment was at the Harrison City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Sioux County Rescue Unit, American Heart Fund or the United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were by the Peet Mortuary.

Raymond V. Riley died Monday evening, Sept. 24, at the Niobrara Memorial Nursing Home in Lusk.

He was born April 7, 1905, in Merrick, Okla., the son of Howard and Jessie Riley. At the age of eleven he came to Sioux County, Neb. to his father's homestead where he lived until his retirement in 1978.

He married Merle Mason on May 31, 1928, and they were the parents of two daughters, Bonnie Lay and Rita Rohen. Merle passed away in 1977. Mr. Riley then married Marie Gudehus on June 3, 1979, and they resided in Harrison, Nebraska.

Survivors include, his wife, Marie of Harrison, Nebraska; two daughters: Bonnie Lay of Douglas, and Rita Rohen of Gretna, Nebaska; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his two son-in-laws.
