DEATH TOLL GROWS

The influenza still seems to have a grip on the community, one death occurring last night - that of C. S. George. Several are still in a dangerous condition, notably Messrs Connard, Buck and Kennedy.

Deep regret is felt for the passing of C. S. George - "Denver" as be was affectionately called by all who knew him - for he was a young man of a kind and affable disposition and sturdy sterling qualities, and a loss to the community.

The sincere sympathy of all goes out to his young widow, his mother, who is expected to arrive today, and his other relatives.
