Chet Lacy Dies Last Wednesday

Chet Lacy, 60, died from an extended illness at his home in Harrison last Wednesday.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church with the Rev. V. Mearl Hainsey officiating on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of the Houston Funeral Home. Interment was made in the Harrison cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Okley Edgell, Ernest Pullen, J.A. McClarey, Adolph Zurcher, Carl Engebretsen, Clarence Dout. Honorary pallbearers were Elmer Pullen, Clifford Leeling, Virgil Kennedy, John Davis, Ralph Hildebrand Sr., Connie Jordan, Eddie Jordan, Henry Jordan, Charlie Jordan, Vern Marsteller, Luther Koch and Martin Kich, Ray York and Rudy Hartman.

Chester C. Lacy, son of John and Matilda Lacy, was born at Garnett Kansas, December, 1902.

He came to Sioux County when a small boy, and during his lifetime became well-known throughout the county having worked for the county for over 30 years.

He leaves his wife Mary, two daughters, Barbara Jane of Harrison and Mrs. Tom Miller of Manhattan, Kan., one son, Chester Kenneth of Seattle, Wash., two grandaughters, Kim Marie and Julianne of Seattle, one grandson, Douglas Alan of Manhattan and one brother, Lloyd Lacy of Longmont, Colo.
