Georgia Belle Miller-Cline

Memorial services for Georgia Belle Miller-Cline, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 22, 2000 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Torrington with The Reverend Dale McQueen officiating.

She died on August 16, 2000 at Torrington Community Hospital and cremation has already taken place. Memorials directed to Country Villa in Torrington would be appreciated by the family.

She was born on August 25, 1911 in Valentine, Nebraska the daughter of George Logan and Orpha Belle (Keister) Miller.

At a very young age she moved with her family to Lusk, Wyoming where she grew up and attended school; graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1929.

She then moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and went to work as a Legal Secretary. She married Carl K. Cline on October 12, 1936, they were later divorced, and he is deceased.

Georgia returned to Lusk for several years and then moved to Denver, Colorado. She went to work as an executive Secretary for Eli Lilly and Company where, in 1974, she received the President's Award in recognition of her contribution towards the excellent sales record achieved by her district. She retired in 1976 and moved to Lingle, Wyoming.

In recent years, Georgia had volunteered as a tutor for children in Torrington schools. She loved writing poetry throughout her lifetime; she enjoyed raising show dogs and silver Persian cats.

She was a past member of the Niobrara Chapter #26 of Order of Eastern Star; and she was a member of Saint George's Episcopal Church in Lusk, Wyoming.

She is survived by a son George R. Cline of Denver, Colorado; two nephews Charles, Thomas and their spouses, Mary and Carl Burgess of Denver, Colorado; and Carol and Bill Cooper of Bellville, Texas; five great nieces and nephews; and nine great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

The Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington is in charge of the arrangements.
