A. A. ONG OF LANCE CREEK PASSED AWAY

Adalaska A. Ong, age 77 years, prominent oil man of Lusk and Lance Creek passed away Sunday, April 2nd at the Lusk hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Ong had returned to Lusk on Friday from Hot Springs, Ark., where they had spent the winter and Mr. Ong was ill when he arrived home and was taken to the hospital where he died Sunday evening at 11 o'clock.

Mr. Ong homesteaded in the Lance Creek community in 1921 and secured land in the oil fields at that place. He had an interest in the producing Novick-Ong well.

Having been in poor health for the past six or seven years Mr. Ong has been accustomed to spending his winters in a warmer climate and the past winter he and his wife were at Hot Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'clock at the Peet Mortuary Chapel; with Rev. P. H. Evans, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating.

Music will be furnished by J. M. Hungate, F. B. Kuns, Mrs. Abdon DeCastro and Mrs. Cobb with Mrs. J. P. Watson, accompanist.

Interment will be made in the Lusk cemetery.

OBITUARY
Adalaska A. Ong was born in Tonica, Illinois, March 14th, 1862. At the age of 15, he moved with his parents to LaClede, Missouri, and on October 11, 1891 he was united in marriage to Lilly Lamb.

He sought and found employment with the C. B. & Q. Railroad as a passenger engineer, and with the exception of the two years he worked as a freight engineer, he retained this position for 41 years.

He lived in Hannibal, Missouri, two years, in Moulton, Iowa eight years, then in Burlington, Iowa, for 35 years. In 1921 he homesteaded on Lance Creek, Wyoming. He united with the Christian church in middle life.

Surviving him besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his loss, a son, Leonard, of Lance Creek, Wyo., and a daughter, Mrs. Lilly Jackson, of Omaha, Nebr.; one grandson, Bobby Jackson, and three brothers: Frank of Los Animos, Colo.; Bert of St. Louis, Mo.; and Arthur of Po....set (unable to read), Okla., and a host of friends.

Last Rites Held for A. A. Ong Thursday

Funeral services for (Adalaska) A. Ong, who passed away of a heart ailment at the Lusk Hospital Sunday, April 2nd, were conducted form the chapel of the Peet Mortuary Thursday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. P. H. Evans, Pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Harmony Lodge No. 24, A.F.&A.M. of Lusk, attended the services at the chapel, and at the Lusk cemetery, where Masonic rites were conducted with C. E. Marvin acting as the Worshipful Master.

Music was furnished at the chapel by J. M. Hungate, Ford b. Kuns, Mrs. Abdon DeCastro, and Mrs. D. J. Cobb, with accompanist Mrs. J. P. Watson.

Pall bearers were: Harold Fosher, Forest Vaughan, Frank Bradley, Fred Sheaman, Robert Taylor, Frank McCullough, Chas. Lee and Wm. D. Miller.
