Chas Densborn Dies Suddenly

Charley Densborn died suddenly at his home in Lusk, Saturday evening, June 12. Mrs. Densborn had gone to a neighbor's on an errand and was absent about half an hour and upon returning to her home found her husband lying on the bed dead.

Mr. Densborn had been in poor health for the past two years suffering from a heart ailment, but came up town Saturday afternoon and seemed to be as well as usual when he ate his evening meal.

Carl George (Charley) Densborn was born in Missouri on February 2, 1887, the eldest son of Nicholas and Helena Densborn. The family lived in different States and came from Geddesberg, So. Dak., in the spring of 1911. Charley, as he was familiarly known, filed on a homestead four miles southeast of Node, Wyoming.

On May 11, 1938, he was united in marriage to Miss Alna Schutt at Torrington, Wyo. They have made their home in Lusk since that time. Mr. Densborn passed away very suddenly at his home on last Saturday evening, June 12, at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 22 days. He was preceded in death by his father some 15 years ago and by his mother 5 years ago. Also by one brother who died in young childhood. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Alna Densborn of Lusk, one brother, Henry, of near Node, Wyo.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Postum of San Diego, Cal., besides four nephews and one niece, and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. H. Marshall at the Peet Chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with interment in the Lusk Cemetery.

The casket bearers were Carl Dean, Fred Dean, Herbert Sabin, Lewis Lee, Gus Deitchler and Don Paisley.

Music was furnished by Miss Yvonne Vogel and Miss Patricia Taylor, with Mrs. Lester Mead at the instrument.

The birth date was printed here as published. However, the actual birth date of February 21, 1887, was taken from an original document of the World War I draft card for Charlie George Densborn, born in Missouri and residing in Node, Wyoming.
