Mother of Luther Penfield Dies

Mrs. Maybelle Penfield of Wheatland, mother of Luther A. Penfield of Lance Creek, died in a Wheatland hospital Wednesday, May 18, following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Schrader Chapel. Interment was in the Wheatland Cemetery.

Mrs. Penfield was born in Iowa August 16, 1876 and had been a resident of Wheatland for thirty years. Besides her son, Luther, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Smith of Rifle, Colo.; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Maebelle Penfield, a Wheatland resident for thirty years, died at a local hospital Wednesday following an extended illness. She was seventy-eight years of age.

A native of Iowa, Mrs. Penfield was born August 16, 1877. She is survived by a son, Luther A. Penfield of Lance Creek and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Smith of Rifle, Colo.; also eighteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

Last rites for Mrs. Penfield will be held at two o'clock at the Schrader chapel. Burial will be in the local cemetery.
