Adele A. Anderson, 40, of Guernsey died Jan. 22, 1987 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper after a long illness. The funeral mass was Monday, Jan. 26, at St. Anthony's Catholic church in Guernsey, with Rev. William Caspers officiating. The rosary was Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington. Burial was in the Fort Laramie Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born Jan. 17, 1947 in Lusk, the daughter of Andy and Josephine (Francescato) Shaffer. She was raised and educated in Meadowdale, between Hartville and Lusk, and later attended school in Guernsey.
On Jan. 3, 1969, she married Harold Anderson in Guernsey. She worked in the kitchen at the Bigner Nursing Home in Torrington and had also worked in the kitchen in Torrington Community Hospital and did housekeeping for senior citizens.
Besides her husband of Torrington, she is survived by her father, Andy Shaffer of Guernsey, and a sister, Ellen M. Lamb of Lusk.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Dorothy Lou Jonte.
A memorial has been established to the Diabetes Foundation.
