Mikayla "Mickey" Rose Thomson

Mikayla Thomson, the beloved daughter of Jeff and Jackie Thomson of Montgomery, Texas went home to her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2015 from the result of an automobile accident. She was born August 23, 1995 in The Woodlands Texas. She spent her early growing up years in Portugal, South Korea, and Texas.

She became a world traveler with her family at an early age and experienced more in her young life than most. "Mickey", as her family and friends knew her, was a beautiful, vibrant, smart young woman who took on everything in full force.

She started Tae Kwon Do at an early age in Texas and completed her Jr. black belt in Korea by age 13. Her family came back to Montgomery, Texas where she finished her high school education at Montgomery High School graduating in 2013 with high honors in the top percentage of her class. She went on to the University of Texas in Austin where she was studying speech therapy and communications.

While in high school she was highly academic taking many AP courses. Mickey was a member of National Honor Society, a varsity swimmer, a skilled diver, and avid at roller-blading.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents John and Ingrid Jacobson of Spokand, WA, and her paternal grandma Rose Thomson of Manville, WY.

She is survived by her parents Jeff (1988 graduate of NCHS, Lusk) and Jackie Thomson of Montgomery, Texas, her younger sisters Nicolette and Ashlynn, her paternal grandpa Dave Thomson of Niobrara County, her aunt and uncle Sabine and Fred Rosman of Washington and cousins Brandon, Alicia, and Jakob. Her aunt and uncle Kristol and Mark Miller of Van Tassell, WY and cousins Katelynn and Kassidy. Her uncle Mark Thomson of Monte Vista, CO and cousins Savona and Garett. Her great aunt Betty Robertson of Montgomery, Texas and great aunt and uncle Gen and Don Wagoner of Douglas, WY as well as other extended family.
