The Niobrara County Library Foundation’s Kresge Challenge has had a couple of fantastic boosts this week. At this writing there remains $26,165.32 to raise to complete the challenge! A very generous anonymous donor has created an Irrevocable Planned Gift of $50,000 that has boosted our Kresge Challenge fundraising to its current level. We are 89% of the way to meeting our Kresge Challenge goal! If you would like to participate yet this year or learn more about planned giving please contact a foundation member. Also, due to the complexity of the funds transfer at the end of the year if you are planning on participating in this opportunity we would ask that all gifts be made by December 29th. Once this goal is met an additional $83,333 will be added to our endowment fund bringing us much closer to our long-term goal of 1.5 million by 2015.

An Evening of Cinema will be held on Wednesday, December 15 at 6:30 at the library. “Buddy” is a Norwegian film with English subtitles by Morton Tyldum. Kristoffer’s love life is on
the rocks. But what can you expect from a guy who likes to videotape himself and his friends pulling outrageous stunts? So when Kristoffer’s video diary winds up at a popular TV show, it’s not just his love life that turns upside down. A vibrant young cast explores the true meaning of friendship and love in a heart-warming story about hi jinks, crazy roommates and reality television.
