Please start saving your Decker’s Receipts dated September 1, 2005 – May 31, 2006! Once receipts total $150,000 the sponsoring organization receives $1000 from Decker’s. The Friends of the Library use this funding for purchasing children’s books; all items purchased with these funds in the library are denoted with a bookplate. Thank you for saving your receipts and thank you Decker’s for this opportunity!

Friday, September 9 at noon Nancy Curtis will present a Brown Bag Lunch program at the library, please see the press release in this issue of the Lusk Herald for more information.

The Foundation’s Monday Night Football books are ready, if you haven’t gotten yours stop by the library or contact a foundation member.

New books in the adult library include “Adored” by Tilly Bagshawe, “Sweetgrass” by Mary Alice Monroe, “Nobody Runs Forever” by Richard Stark, “The Night Garden” by Pamela Holm, “Always Time to Die” by Elizabeth Lowell, “Origin in Death” by J. D. Robb, “Let Us Die Like Brave Men” by Daniel W. Barefoot, “The Lure of Saints” by Jon M. Sweeney and “The War of the Words” by Stephen Stern.

For the young adult, there is “The Rivers of Zadaa” by D. J. MacHale.

Our junior readers will enjoy “Robert Takes a Stand” by Barbara Seuling, “Toad Heaven” by Morris Gleitzman, “Rodzina” by Karen Cushman and “Seven Wheels of Power” by Dawn Barnes.

Our younger readers will enjoy “Ruby Lee and the Bumblebee” by Dawn Matheson.

“It’s For the Birds!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. Storyhour is held every Tuesday throughout the year for children ages three through kindergarten.
