Registration continues for the afterschool programs set to begin on Thursday, February 2 for 3rd through 5th grade children and on Tuesday, February 7 for children in the 1st & 2nd grades. The programs this year will feature “Tall Tales” and Yvonne has many exciting things planned. Please call 334-3490 for more information and to register your children.

The first of three RIF (Reading is Fundamental) programs will be held on Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30 for children preschool age through 6th grade. “Tacky and the Winter Games” by Helen Lester will be presented in skit form by the FBLA. RIF is a federal program that has been in existence since 1966. The program focuses on encouraging children to read by showing them that reading is truly fun. Through RIF, children have the opportunity to choose their very own book by themselves; books that excite them and books that they get to keep for their own. The program also encourages parental involvement and we encourage parents to participate with their children.
