Wednesday, March 29 the film “The Brothers Grimm” will be shown at the library at 6:30 p.m. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger team up to bring you one of the year’s most fantastic adventures in this magical tale based on the lives of the legendary storytellers. Will and Jake Grimm (Damon & Ledger) dazzle small towns with their imaginative folklore and elaborate illusions. But when the brothers journey into a real enchanted forest, they encounter many of the fantastic characters and thrilling situations found in their beloved fairy tales! From the award winning director of Twelve Monkeys, Brazil and Monty Python And the Holy Grail, this fabulous motion picture is sure to leave you living happily ever after! Rated PG-13 and 118 minutes.

Almost 50 children attended the second of three RIF (Reading is Fundamental) programs held at the library. Children enjoyed two books presented by FBLA students and created wind socks to take home along with their free book. The next RIF will be held April 12 and will feature a puppet show. If children weren’t able to pick up their RIF book they may stop in the library to do so.

New books in the adult library include “Paradox Syndrome” by Ken Hodgson, “The Hunt Club” by John Lescroart, “Got the Look” by James Grippando, “Memory in Death” by J. D. Robb, “The Secret Trial of Robert E. Lee” by Thomas Fleming, “Striking Back” by Aaron J. Klein, “Massacre in Munich” by Michael Bar-Zohar, “Closing the Gap” by Jay McGraw and “Aging: Fight it With the Blood Type Diet” by Peter J. D’Adamo.

A new book for the young adult is “Your Eyes in Stars” by M. E. Kerr.

A couple of new titles for our junior readers are “The Nutty News” by Ron Barrett, “Go Outside” by Nancy Blakey and “C is for Cornhusker” by Rajean Luebs Shepard.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like “Rumply Crumply Stinky Pin,” “Ghosty Shocks and the Three Scares,” “Eco-Wolf and the Three Little Pigs” and “Shampoozel” by Laurence Anholt.

“Mellow Yellow!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Storyhour is held every Tuesday throughout the year for children ages three through kindergarten.
