Last chance for No-Limit Texas Hold’em! Play begins Saturday at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds at 11 a.m. If you haven’t signed up there may still be room for players call Tom Dooper, Liz Kaltenheuser or Debbie Sturman. Lunch, with homemade pies, will be available to spectators as well. Proceeds benefit the Niobrara County Library Foundation Endowment.

The Foundation is also beginning a raffle for a partially hand-stitched quilt and crocheted tablecloth. The squares are over 70 years old and were donated by Dorothy Keenan. Judy Hamaker and a several other volunteers sewed the squares together into a quilt. Children’s Librarian, Yvonne Jensen donated a handmade crocheted round tablecloth that she made. Raffle tickets are available at the library and from several people in the community and the raffle is planned for early fall. Proceeds
from this fundraiser will also benefit the endowment fund.

Each Thursday at 1 p.m. until school starts a film suitable for the entire family will be shown at the library. Check “At A Glance” in the Lusk Herald for the film this week or our website, https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org for more detailed information about the film.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like “Good Dog, Rover” by Sandford Hoffman and “Meow Ruff” by Joyce Sidman.

“Dragons!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, July 11 at 10 a.m. Storyhour is held each Tuesday for children that are three through kindergarten.
