Last minute shoppers may be interested in the Friends of the Library Cookbook. These books are a compilation of tried and true recipes and are $10.00 and are available at the library.
It’s “Movie Day at the Library!” Three films will be shown on Wednesday, December 27. “The Fox and the Hound 2” will be shown at 1 p.m. Tod and Copper are still best friends in this sequel to the classic Disney original. When Copper gets a chance at a big time music career with a successful group of singing hound dogs, their friendship is put to the test. Features the music of many of today’s popular country stars such as Tricia Yearwood and Little Big Town.This film is rated G and is 69 minutes.
At 2:30 p.m. “Invincible” will be shown. When part-time bartender and full-time Eagles fan Vince Papale answers an open call to try out for the team he finds his wildest dreams coming true when he is asked to slip on a Philadelphia jersey. This inspiring story is the true tale of local hero Vince Papale. This film is rated PG and is 104 minutes.
The independent film, “Something Like Happiness” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Monika, Tonik and Dasha grew up together in the same housing project on the outskirts of a small industrial city. Now the childhood friends are adults, each struggling with feelings of desire and loneliness, longing and failure. This film is 102 minutes, Czech with English subtitles.

“Happy New Year” is the focus for Storyhour on Tuesday, December 26. Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
