Cowboy entertainer, Hub Whitt will perform at the library on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. Hub sings the songs of the cowboy, but he also grew up living the life; his songs and stories reflect real life experiences. Plan now to attend this sure to be good program! Supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts and locally from a grant with the NCSD Recreation District. A new mystery novel by J. A. Jance is “Fatal Error.” Ali Reynolds is taking a six-week course at the Arizona Police Academy as well as doing the 6 a.m. shift at her family’s restaurant when Brenda, a colleague from her old news broadcasting days in California shows up with an unlikely story about a missing fianc�. Ali reluctantly agrees to help. The fianc�, a cyber-sociopath, is found viciously murdered and the police focus on Brenda. Suddenly Ali is drawn into a web of on-line intrigue that may lead to a real-world fatal error.

Other new books include “Deep Black: Death Wave” by Stephen Coonts, “Will of Steel” by Diana Palmer, “The Thousand Autumns of Jacob De Zoet” by David Mitchell, “The Red Garden” by Alice Hoffman, “Gideon’s War” by Howard Garden and “The Winter Ghosts” by Kate Mosse. A new title for the young adult is “Awakened” by P. C. Cast.

New non-fiction books are “Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm” by Roseanne Barr, “The Cake Mix Doctor Bakes Gluten-Free” by Anne Bryn, “Star Finder: the Complete Beginner’s Guide to the Night Sky” by Carole Scott and “Surviving a Shark Attack (On Land): Overcoming Betrayal and Dealing With Revenge” by Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books by Jake Maddox: “Hoop Hotshot,” “Paintball Blast,” “Go-Kart Rush” and “Quarterback Sneak” plus “Olivia, the Orchid Fairy” by Daisy Meadows. New picture books include “A Visit to the Firehouse” by Lauryn Silverhardt and “Beauty and the Beast” and “Shrek Forever After” both look and find books.
