Thursday, August 18 the film, “Night at the Museum” will be shown at the library at 1 p.m. The library provides the popcorn. Be sure to bring your own drink for this 108 minute PG film.

Conant and “2012 and the End of the World: the Western Roots of the Maya Apocalypse” by Matthew Restall.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new books: “Bell’s Star” by Alison Holt, “The Nightmare Ninja” by Simon Higgins and “Tango: Tale of an Island Dog” by Eileen Beha. A new picture book is “Red Sings from the Treetops: a Year in Colors” by Joyce Sidman.
