The Niobrara County Library Foundation is planning a Wine Tasting with a variety of cheeses as well as hors d’oeuvres on Sunday, January 15 from 2-5 p.m. at the Niobrara Country Club. Water2Wine from Denver will offer a variety of wines to try and will also demonstrate their process of winemaking. Tickets are now available at the library or from any foundation members for $30. Proceeds will be matched through the Wyoming Public Library Endowment Challenge Program.

New adult non-fiction books are “The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin” by Joe McGinniss, “Ocean Drifters: A Secret World beneath the Waves” by Richard R. Kirby, “I Didn’t Ask to be Born (But I’m Glad I Was)” by Bill Crosby and “Holiday Crafting & Baking with Kids: Gifts, Sweets, and Treats for the Whole Family” by Jessica Strand.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books: “Haunted Kids: True Ghost Stories” by Allan Zullo, “Into the Spotlight” by Erin Falligant and “Meet Marie-Grace” by Sarah Masters Buckley. Some new easy readers are “I Spy Fly-Guy!” by Ted Arnold and “Work This Farm” by Michael Anthony Steele.
