“Kung Fu Panda 2” shows at the library on Friday, December 30 at 1 p.m. Bring your own drink, the library will provide the popcorn. This film is rated PG and is 90 minutes.

Registration is now being taken for the winter series of Afterschool programs for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Call the library (334-3490) to register your children!

The conclusion of Christopher Paolini’s series, “Inheritance or Vault of Souls” is now available in multiple copies in the YA section.

“Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson is one of several new non-fiction books, others include: “One Minute Mindfulness: 50 Simple Ways to Find Peace, Clarity, and New Possibilities in a Stressed Out World” and “Mexican Made Easy: Everyday Ingredients, Extraordinary Flavor” by Marcela Valladolid.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books: “The Homerun Kid Races on” by Matt Christopher, “The Cupcake Caper” by Gertrude Chandler Warner and “Ultimate Duals” by Lindsay Kent. Some new easy titles are “Pinkalicious: Pinkie Promise” by Victoria Kann, “R2 to the Rescue” by Rob Valois and “Hank the Horn” by Justin Spelvin.
