One of our newer books is “The Aviator’s Wife” by Melanie Benjamin. In 1927 Anne Morrow, the shy daughter of the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, met Colonel Charles Lindberg while in Mexico City spending Christmas with her family. Charles sees in Anne a kindred spirit and a fellow adventurer. They marry, and her world changes forever. In the years that follow, despite her own major achievements (she becomes the first licensed female glider pilot in the U. S.), Anne is viewed merely as the Aviator’s wife.

Other new fiction books are “Wash” by Margaret Wrinkle, “The Night Ranger” by Alex Berenson, “Scent of Magic” by Maria Snyder, “Indiscretion” by Charles Dubow, “When Summer Comes” by Brenda Novak, “The Blackhouse” by Peter May and “Crystal Cove” by Lisa Kleypas. A new title for the young adult is the newest addition in the Witch & Wizard series by James Patterson, “The Kiss.”

New adult non-fiction books are “Women of the Frontier: 16 Tales of Trailblazing Homesteaders, Entrepreneurs, and Rabble-Rousers” by Brandon Marie Miller and “Pukka’s Promise: the Quest for Longer-Lived Dogs” by Ted Kerasote.
