Tuesday, July 2 bring your lunch and technical questions to the library at noon for “Tech Talk.” Have you tried downloading digital materials and run into issues? Or maybe you’ve searched Legal Forms but not really gotten what you want. Stop by and we’ll try to answer your questions and help make using these resources a breeze.

The library will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2013 for Independence Day. We will be open regular hours on Friday, July 5.

A place name can reveal much about our history and geography and on Friday, July 12 we will host the program, Wyoming Places. Presenter Venice Beske will share her expertise on Wyoming’s place names and demonstrate the current project, Wyoming Places. Bring your lunch and enjoy this informative program that is presented by the Wyoming Humanities Council as part of its Humanities Forum.

A new novel by Stephen Coonts is “Pirate Alley.” A luxurious vacation cruise turns into a nightmare for passengers and crew when their ship is attacked and captured by a band of Somali pirates. Jack Grafton is assigned to negotiate with the pirate chief while a team of CIA and Navy Seal operatives mount an undercover operation to keep the U.S. from being maneuvered into a murderous war.

Other new fiction books include “The Rithmatist” by Brandon Sanderson, “Wind Chime Point” by Sherryl Woods, “And the Mountain Echoed” by Khaled Hosseini, “The House That Love Built” by Beth Wiseman, “Time to Kill” by Jack Coughlin, “One Glorious Ambition: the Compassionate Crusade of Dorothea Dix” by Jane Kirkpatrick, “Magician’s End” by Raymond E. Feist and “The Redeemer” by Jo Nesbo.

New non-fiction books are “Sober Mercies: How Love Caught Up with a Christian Drunk” by Heather Kopp, “Bunker Hill: a City, a Seize, a Revolution” by Nathan Philbrick and “The Tapping Solution: a Revolutionary System for Stress-free Living” by Nick Ortner.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books: “Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All” and “Dork Diaries: How to Dork Your Diary” by Rachel Renee Russell. A new picture book is “Brutus, the Bull” by Casper author, Margo Cronbaugh Bean.
