Krispy Kreme doughnuts are returning! Call the library, 334-3490 today to place your order to be picked up on Friday, May 2. A dozen of glazed doughnuts are $8 and a mixed dozen is $9. Payment before the day of pick-up is appreciated. This fundraiser is sponsored by the library foundation.

The third of three RIF (Reading is Fun) programs will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at the library. “The Lego Guy” returns with fun for all. There will be a program, snacks and the opportunity to create with Legos and of course every child will be able to select their very own book to keep.

A new espionage novel is “Do or Die: Reluctant Heroes” by Suzanne Brockmann. Navy Seal Ian Dunn went rogue – or so everyone is lead to believe. In reality, the former Special Ops warrior is still fighting for good, leading a small band of free lance covert operatives who do their job in unofficial ways. That makes Ian the hands down choice to breach a heavily guarded embassy and rescue a pair of children kidnapped by their own father, a sinister foreign national willing to turn his own kids into casualties.

Other new fiction books are “Killer” by Jonathan Kellerman, “Kiss and Tell” by Fern Michaels, “After I’m Gone” by Laura Lippman, “Influx” by Daniel Suarez, “The Eternal Wonder” by Pearl Buck, “The Undead Pool” by Kim Harrison, “Trouble in Mind” by Jeffery Deaver and “My Amish Boyfriend” by Melody Carlson. A new title for the young adult is the graphic novel, “Nancy Drew Diaries: the Demon of River Heights and Writ in Stone” by Stephen Petrucha.

New on the non-fiction shelf: “Recover: Stop Thinking Like an Addict and Reclaim Your Life With the Perfect Program” by Stanton Peele, PhD, “Balloons Aloft: Flying the South Dakota Skies” by Arley Kenneth Fadness and “Pinch Pottery: Functional Modern Hand Building” by Susan Halls.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books, “Jessica Finch in Pig Trouble” by Megan McDonald and “Charlie Bumpers vs. the Teacher of the Year” by Bill Harley. Some new easy titles are “An Amazing Snowman” by Barbara Jean Hicks and “Amelia Bedelia Joins the Club” by Herman Parish.
