The Friends of the Library will be hosting the second of three Reading Is Fun (RIF) programs on Wednesday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. The skit, “Silly Tilly’s Valentine” will be performed by members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Children in attendance will have the opportunity to make a Valentine craft and each child will select and keep their very own book! If your child missed the January program they will be able to select two books! The fun all begins at 6:30 p.m. so plan to attend now! There are snacks too!
A new novel is “White Plague” by James Abel. In the remote, frozen waters of the Arctic Ocean, the high-powered and technically advanced submarine USS Montana is adrift and in flames. The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books, “Romeo Blue” by Phoebe Stone and “The Stinky Cheese Vacation” by Geronimo Stilton. A few new easy titles are “The Pirates Next Door” by Jonny Duddle, “Woolbur” by Leslie Helakoski and “The Little Moon Raven” by Marcus Pfister.
