The library will show the film, “Moana” for the LEMS early release on Friday, March 17. The movie begins at 1:45 p.m., the library provides the popcorn but please bring your own drink. “Moana” is rated PG and is 113 minutes.
The “In Crisis” Dinner and Movie series will feature the film, “The Informant!” on Monday, March 20 at 6 p.m. The film is based on a late 1990’s case against the conglomerate, Archer Daniels Midland; executives were accused of orchestrating a worldwide conspiracy to fix prices. The film is based on the book “The Informant: A True Story”, written by Kurt Eichenwald. A light meal will be served and Deane Tucker will lead the discussion. The film is rated R and is 108 minutes.
James Patterson’s latest book is “Never, Never.” The first book in the Detective Harriet Blue series features the top investigator in the sex crimes department, Harry Blue. She is a seasoned pro who’s seen it all, but she didn’t see this coming – her own brother arrested for the grisly murders of three beautiful young women. She is reassigned to the middle of nowhere, the never, never, “for her own good” to investigate a missing miner. Far from the world she knows and desperate to clear her brother’s name, Harry has to mine dark secrets for answers to a deepening mystery. “Never, Never” is also available on CD and the eBook and digital audio are available in the Virtual Library. The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books, “Bailey’s Story” by W. Bruce Cameron, “Juana & Lucas” by Juana Medina and “Free Spirit” by Sable Hamilton.
