Halloween is at stake! Agnes the witch can’t seem to find her hat, which means the Halloween Spirit is missing – AND, Halloween might be cancelled! Come join the fun in finding Agnes’s hat with Meghan Casey and Rocky Mountain Puppets on Friday, October 26 at 2 p.m. Fun for all ages with this talented ventriloquist and her band of puppets.

Craig Johnson’s latest novel is entitled “Depth of Winter.” The head of one of the most vicious drug cartels in Mexico has kidnapped Walt Longmire’s beloved daughter, Cady. The American government is of limited help and the Mexican one even less. New titles for the young adult are “Long Way Down” by Jason Reynolds and “Hunting Prince Dracula” by Kerri Maniscalco.

“Let Go of Emotional Overeating and Love Your Food: a Five-Point Plan for Success” by Arlene B. Englander is among new non-fiction titles along with “Gooseberry Patch’s Harvest Table” and “Canning in the Modern Kitchen: More than 100 Recipes for Canning and Cooking Fruits, Vegetables, and Meats” by Jamie DeMent.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles: “Buggin’ Out” by MacKenzie Cadenhead, “On Point” by Hena Khan and “Cracks in the Cone” by Coco Simon. A few of the newer easy books are “Something Smells” by Blake Liliane Hellman, “Train Ride Fun” by Maggie Testa and “Hawk Rising” by Maria Gianferrari.
