Monday, June 10 stop by the library to view the “Celebrating 100 Years Art Show.” A reception will be held at 5 p.m. and the exhibit will hang until July 26, 2019.

Magician Keir Royale will be performing at the library on Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Keir Royale first performed a year ago at the library and he has even more fun planned for this year. Don’t miss this show!

On behalf of the library board of trustees, the foundation and library staff we extend our thanks to the Silver Cliff Theatre Company for the years of entertainment in Niobrara County and for entrusting the library to use your funds to continue a variety of programming. Summer library programming is detailed in the current library newsletter; watch the Lusk Herald for advance notice of events. Fall programming is currently being developed.

“Crown Jewel” is Christopher Reich’s latest novel. Monte Carlo’s lavish casinos have become the target of a sophisticated and brutal team of professional gamblers. Who better to connect the crimes and foil a daring plot than Simon Riske – a free lance industrial spy. Riske tends to get in over his head, throw himself into danger and still manage to find a way to outthink and outmaneuver villains of every stripe. “Crown Jewel” is also available to read digitally through the 3M Cloud Library.

Olson, “Dark Tribute” by Iris Johansen, “Stone Bridges” by Carla Neggers, “The Cornwalls are Gone” by James Patterson, “The Old Drift” by Namwali Serpell and “The Deepest Blue” by Sarah Beth Durst. Check out these new young adult titles: “On the Come Up” by Angie Thomas and “The Cerulean” by Amy Ewing.

Wyoming author Ron Franscell’s newest nonfiction title is “Alice and Gerald: a Homicidal Love Story” other new non-fiction includes “Pastry School: 100 Step-By-Step recipes” from Le Cordon Bleu, “Living With Air Plants: a Beginner’s Guide to Growing and Displaying Tillandsia” by Yoshiharu Kashima and “Overcoming Positional Vertigo” by Carol A Foster.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “Merci Suarez Changes Gears” by Meg Medina, “Dawn and the Impossible Three” by Gale Galligan and “Arty’s Tough Trail” by Mark L. Redmond. A few of the newer easy titles are “My Heart” by Corinna Luyken, “The Berenstain Bear’s Pet Rescue” by Mike Berenstain and “The Crayon Man” by Natascha Biebow.

“Father’s Day!” is the theme for Storyhour on June 11, 2019. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for children age 3 through kindergarten.
