The library will be hosting the Wyoming Arts Council staff and board during their visit to Lusk and local artists, creatives, educators, and community organizations are invited to stop by and connect. This is an opportunity to meet the people behind Wyoming Arts Council programs, learn about grants and funding opportunities, and explore ways to support arts and cultural projects in your community. A new U.S. debut novel is “The Survivor” by Andrew Reid. Fired on his first day at a new job in New York City, Ben Cross takes a train headed uptown. Suddenly he is receiving messages and pictures from an anonymous killer and to keep Ben on his phone, a passenger is killed getting off the train. Soon NYPD detective Kelly Hendricks, gets on the train to find out what is going on. As the train races north Ben and Kelly both begin to realize that the secret to the killer lies in Ben’s own dark past. “The Survivor” is also available digitally in Libby.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles “Drought, Wind, and Fire” by Marianne Hering, “Pup Vs Squirrel” by Cam Higgins, and the 3-book series “Restorationists” by Carolyn Leiloglou. Among the newer easy books are “Let’s Have a Sleepover” by Salina Yoon, “Loops” by Jashar Awan, “Goodnight, Bruce” by Ryan T. Higgins, and “Is It Spring?” by Keven Henkes.
“Gone Fishing!” is the theme for Storyhour on May 12, 2026. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year for preschool-aged children. The Friends of the Library sponsor the 24/7 storyline, Dial-A-Story. Call 307-334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story!
