Gus Deitchler Dies Here Sun. Morning

Gustave Leo Detchler, 65, a resident of Wyoming for the past 22 years, died at the Spencer Hospital Feb. 22.

He was the son of Henry and Mary Deitchler and was born Oct. 27, 1887 in Mills County, IA. On Aug. 11, 1909 he was married to Miss Clara Kay at Glenwood, IA, and they made their home on a farm in Iowa until 1920 when they moved to Hemingford, Nebr., to again engage in farming.

In 1931 they came to Wyoming and located on a ranch near Keeline where they lived until 1943 at which time they moved into Lusk where they have since resided.

They are the parents of nine children, one son having previously died.

Survivors are his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Laura Roberts, Broadus, Mont., Mrs. Alta Wismiller, Alliance, Nebr., Mrs. Dolores Huff, St. Paul, Minn., and five sons, Leo of Kirby, Wyo., Don of Forsyth, Mont., Floyd of Thermopolis, Claude of Broadus, Mont., and Kenneth of Ridge, Mont. There are 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, also two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Fullenweider, Idaho Falls, Ida.; Mrs. Lydia Kahl, Council Bluffs, IA and two brothers, Louis Deitchler, Silver City, IA and William Deitchler, Council Bluffs, IA.

More than 50 relatives were in attendance at the funeral services which were held from the Peet Chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. O. H. Shroyer, pastor of the Church of God, officiating.

Music was furnished by a trio, composed of Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, Mrs. Emerson Bonner, and Rex Yocum who sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "We are Going Down the Valley." Mrs. J. P. Watson was the organist.

The casket bearers were his five sons and three sons-in-law. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.
