Dolores Marie "Dolly" Deitchler Huff, 92, a devoted wife, mother, and a pillar of faith in her community, passed away on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, peacefully at Fieldstone Memory Care in Marysville WA. She graced the lives of many with her unwavering love, steadfast devotion to Christ, and her commitment to serving God, family and others. Dolly, as she was affectionately known, was born on January 30, 1931, on a Nebraska farm to Gustave Leo Deitchler and Clara Margaret Kay. She was the youngest of nine children, graduated as Salutatorian from Lusk Wyoming High School in 1949 and was always surrounded by a loving family.

On July 11, 1952, Dolly embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when she married Clifford "Cliff" Huff. As a military family, they traversed the country, raising their children and embracing the challenges and adventures that came their way. Through each new location, Dolly's unwavering faith and commitment to her family remained constant. Cliff and Dolores were blessed with a beautiful family. Together, they raised four children: Sheri (Don) Paquette, Ronald (Andrea) Huff, Judy (Don) Castanares, and Patricia (Leonard†) Lord. The joy they found in their role as parents extended to their grandchildren: Kevin (Sarah) Paquette, Jeffrey Paquette, Craig (Allie) Paquette, Brandon (Bianca) Lord, Mitchell (Shaelyn) Paquette, Brenton Castanares, Briley (Libertie) Lord, Trevor Castanares, Molly (Clint) Huff Tavares, Matthew Paquette, Samuel Huff, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Cliff and Dolores's love and devotion provided a foundation of love, faith, and family values that will continue to guide and inspire their descendants for generations to come.

Dolly brought skills and wisdom in her roles as Secretary to an Air Force base Commander, and State Treasurer for her church for many years. Her most cherished role was as a wife, mother, and grandmother, finding immeasurable joy in the precious moments spent with her loved ones. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, embracing all who crossed her path. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and caring nature left a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals. Dolly's passion for the Bible and the piano resulted in a lifelong teaching ministry of piano and Sunday School, bringing comfort, inspiration, and a sense of peace to countless people throughout her life. Church dinners, needlework, crossword puzzles and a cat on her lap with grandchildren eating her cookies and playing at her feet was her earthly reward.
