Funeral for J.C. Eddy Held Mon.

Funeral services for J. C. Eddy, who was killed in a car-truck collision last Thursday, were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Monday afternoon at 2:00. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Rev. Delbert Dick of Wheatland officiated. Mrs. Richard Korns, organist, accompanied she and Mr. Korns as they sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "We Are Going Down The Valley."

Casket bearers were his five sons, Leonard, Larry, Edgar, Herbert and Lyle and Lloyd Coleman.

Honorary bearers were Clifford Cox, Wayne Dainton, Earle Townsend, Tom Bower, Everett Parmely, Kenneth Wright and Verle Altman.

Joseph Clayton Eddy, son of J. A. and Frances Andrew Eddy, was born at Wessington Springs, S. D., November 21, 1889. He spent the early years of his life and education at Wessington Springs. He was married to Charlotte Cora Coleman December 23, 1910. For the next five years they operated a farm in that area. In June 1915 they moved to a homestead eight miles northwest of Keeline. He left the ranch in 1947 and moved to Lusk where he worked for Niobrara County until 1959. After that he was semi-retired.

His parents and one son Emmet died previously.

Survivors include his widow Charlotte of Lusk; five sons, Leonard of Douglas; Larry of Keeline; Edgar of Medford, Ore.; Herbert of Fort Bliss, Texas; Lyle of Lusk; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Phillips of San Mateo, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Rustad of Prescott, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
