Margaret Hudson Last Rites Held

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from Peet Chapel for Mrs. Margaret Hudson, 72, of Lusk, who died July 28 at the Memorial hospital following surgery. Rev. William Fredrickson of the Community Covenant Church of Lance Creek officiated. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Charles Lee, Miss Margaret Lee, Mrs. Oliver Carlson and Miss Connie Stubson sang "Face to Face", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "God Will Take Care of You". Mrs. Lester Meade was organist.

Pallbearers were Ben Sturman, Bob Welch, Harry Brown, Carl DeGroot, Henry Stiles and Charles Vaughan.

Margaret Olive Hudson was born November 7, 1885 at Stuart, Nebr. to Jacob J. and Mary Laubscher Hahn.

She attended school at Atkinson, Nebr., and taught school one year before her marriage to James E. Hoyt at Bonesteel, S.D., August 9, 1903. To this union three children were born. A son, James Orval, two daughters, Marguerite and Lucyle, Mr. Hoyt died in 1916. April 8, 1919 she married William C. Hudson at Atkinson.

Survivors include one son, Orval Hoyt, Lance Creek; two daughters, Marguerite Skillings, Lance Creek and Lucyle Rood, North Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sisters, Mame Boettcher, Stuart, Neb., Kathryn Tinker, Encinitas, Calif., and Rose Piepenbrick, Downey, Calif. also survive.
