Leslie Kleber Huff

Mr. Leslie Kleber Huff died on May 10, at the Sheridan V.A. Hospital. A memorial service was held May 18 at Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk with pastor Tom Strock officiating. Inurnment followed in the Lusk Cemetery. Cremation had taken place.

He was born on April 28, 1953 in Denver, Colo. to Leslie and Flora Perry Huff.

As a young child, he spent many days flying with his father on the pipeline. He enjoyed family vacations to the lake, Idaho and many family gatherings. He attended school in Lusk graduating from the Niobrara County High School in 1971. He enjoyed football, wrestling, choir and band. In 1972 he joined the United States Air Force. His basic training was spent in Texas and his military career took him all over the world.

In 1976 he married Diane Reese in Lusk. They moved to Maryland as he was stationed in Washington, D.C. They had two daughters, Daphne and Angela.

Leslie enjoyed baseball (especially with the Seattle Mariners), riding his motorcycle, golfing, and his pets. Many days were spent with his grandma, taking her for rides while she was in assisted living and the nursing home. His cousin Gene had a boat and they spent many weekends in Puget Sound and in the ocean. When his daughters visited him, they enjoyed boating and touring Seattle. He worked for Washington Belt in Seattle before returning to Wyoming. Leslie lived in Gillette and then in Douglas the last two years to be with his mother and daughters.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister Kay Huff, grandparents and two uncles, Dale Franssen and Jerry Walters.

He is survived by his mother Flora Holm of Douglas; two daughters Daphne Rohiff and Angela Huff of Douglas; two sisters, Barbara Rapp of Lusk and Jane Ann Huff of Lander; three aunts, Fern Franssen of Nampa, Idaho; Faye Perry of Douglas and Edith Walters of Aberdeen, Idaho; two uncles Gene Perry and his wife Evelyn of Lusk and Clifford Huff and his wife Deloris of Marysville, Washington, three nephews and numerous cousins.

A memorial has been established to the family.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
