Mrs. Intveen, 83, Dies Wed.

Mrs. William (Grace) Intveen, 83, died last Wednesday at the Niobrara County Hospital. Funeral services were conducted at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk, Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Rev. Robert Boutwell of the Congregational Church of Lusk officiated. Short Rebekah services were also held at the Chapel. Mrs. Gerald Bardo, organist, accompanied Robert Reichert as he sang "Going Down the Valley" and "In the Garden." Casket bearers were Clifford Cox, G. L. Pfeifer, Don C. Taylor, Nick Kaan Sr., Ray Freeman and Roy McLain.

Grace Thompson Intveen was the daughter of Ira and Catherine Pepon and was born in Artesian, S. Dak., September 16, 1885. She was one of a family of 10.

In her early years she lived in South Dakota and Nebraska where she reared a family of two children who survive. In 1919 she and her family moved to Lusk where she resided until the time of her death.

October 16, 1962, she was married to William Intveen. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge, a member of the B.P.O. Does and belonged to the Congregational Church.

Survivors include her widower, William Intveen; a son Virgil Quinn of Casper; a daughter, Mrs. Regina Aydelotte of Poncha Springs, Colo., two grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Note: Family sources and follow-up research indicate that Grace was born to Ira Reuben and Catherine (Bennett) Dyson. Grace first married the town photographer, Alfred Quinn, in Artesian, SD., and later married Ralph Thompson and William Intveen. Her siblings include Andrew F, Ernest Ira, Maud, Guy B., Emma, Benjamin H., Ella (Mrs. Porter Rubendall), and Boyd A. Dyson.
