William Intveen Dies Early Today

William Intveen, 84, a long time resident of Lusk and Glenrock died in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital this morning (Wednesday).

Funeral services will be held At the Peet Mortuary in Lusk at 2:00 p.m. Friday. It is the wish of the family that contributions be given to a memorial at the Niobrara Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1885, at Ida Grove, Iowa. He and Amanda Owens were married July 15, 1908. He came to Wyoming in 1912 where the family lived on their homestead south of Lusk. In 1926 he moved into Lusk and for many years carried freight and mail to Lance Creek. In 1935 he purchased the Log Cabin Service Station in Glenrock. In addition to managing this operation he also ran a school bus in the Glenrock area.

Mr. Intveen was very active in the Lions Club and during 1939 and 1940 was Wyoming's District governor. He was one of the very few, who maintained a perfect attendance record. Mr. Intveen also served many years on the Selective Service and Converse County Hospital boards. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Amanda Intveen preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 1959. A daughter Marguerite Hartman died as a result of a car accident May 25, 1936. A second wife, Grace Thompson Intveen died in Lusk On September 16, 1968.

Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd E. Bowman of Casper; one granddaughter, Mrs. Don Klingle, and a great-grandson, Mathew Klingle, both of Salt Lake City, three sisters, Mrs. Joe Contois of O'Neil, Nebr., Mrs. M. P. Popp and Mrs. Mary Hall both of Laramie.

Services for William Intveen Last Friday

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Wililam Intveen, 84, of Lusk who died last Wednesday morning at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Jacobson, vacancy paster for St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating.

Miss Nancy Nagel, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Bardo on the organ sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "How Great Thou Art".

Casket bearers were C.E. Marvin, Bob Templeton, Bus Gautschi, and A.B. DeCastro.
