Graveside services for Howard Lee Hawley, age 75, of Manville will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at Dell View Cemetery in Manville, Wyoming with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating. He died Sept. 24, 2006, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published at a later time.

Graveside services for Howard Lee Hawley, 75, were held Sept. 28, 2006, at the Dellview Cemetery in Manville, Wyo., with Reverend Mark Lohr officiating. He died Sept. 24, 2006, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

Howard Hawley was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Bridgeport, Ill., to Orla Marion and Emma Irene (Jones) Hawley. He was raised in Bridgeport and attended school there. He joined the army March 15, 1951, and served his country in active combat duty in Korea. On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Martha Jane Wolfe in Bridgeport, Ill. He went to work for Ohio (later Marathon) Oil Company in 1956 in Bridgeport. In 1969 he and his family moved to Lance Creek, where he worked for Marathon Oil Company until his retirement in 1986 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, gardening, and bird watching.

He is survived by his wife Martha of Manville; sons Daniel of San Antonio, and Steven and his wife Kathy of Rawlins; daughters Cathy Meier and her husband Dennis of Lusk, and Terry Serres and her husband Andy of Cody; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brothers Roy of Akron, Ind., and Morris of Mosherville, Mich.; sister Fredda Tarr of Sumner, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His sons Mark Alan and David Wayne, his parents, his brothers John and Ray and a sister Frances Pate preceded him in death.
